O Americano Robert Rock (Rob Rock) já tocou em inúmeras bandas, projetos e fez participações especiais (a mais famosa no Avantasia), conquistando a amizade de muitos músicos da cena. Contudo, a banda que lhe propiciou fama e respeito foi mesmo o Impellitteri, onde, junto ao virtuosíssimo guitarrista Chris Impellitteri, lançou ótimos álbuns durante a década de 90. Rob saiu da banda em 2000, e de lá para cá já lançou quatro trabalhos solo.

Com uma mistura de hard rock, heavy, melodic e thrash metal, a performance monstruosa e o timbre perfeito e cristalino talvez sejam explicações para todo o sucesso de Rob Rock, reverenciado na Europa e no Japão.
